چکیده
In the current study we briefly review advantages of utilising elastic neutron scattering techniques to reveal structure porous materials and pore-confined fluids. Furthermore, highlight benefits in situ CO2 injection model systems as well sedimentary rocks explore pore morphology, accessibility structural properties CO2. This information is important for design optimal sequestration gas oil recovery projects.

Risk assessment for future CO2 Sequestration Projects Based CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery in the U.S
This paper is the first of a series that attempts to assess the possible health and safety risks associated with large scale CO2 sequestration in deep brine reservoirs. The approach is based on analysis of available data on the operational track record from CO2 transportation and injection associated with enhanced oil recovery (CO2-EOR) in the US. This paper is particularly concerned with ident...
متن کاملLocalization and glass formation of fluids confined in porous matrices
1. Introduction Recently, the dynamics of colloids in porous media has been subject to a number of works. The slow dynamics is of particular interest, since the single-particle (" self ") and the collective dynamics are influenced by the intricate interplay between confinement and connectivity of the surrounding medium. Recently, Krakoviack [1–3] combined mode-coupling theory (MCT) [4] with the...
متن کاملSimulating Confined Fluids in Nanoporous Materials
If people could shrink themselves down and enter the world of nanoporous materials—solid materials like activated carbon or porous glasses that have pores of nanometer size—they would encounter exotic phenomena that were quite unexpected on the basis of everyday experience. Even thermodynamic properties thought of as constant such as the freezing point of water can be markedly depressed when fl...
متن کاملMean field kinetic theory for a lattice gas model of fluids confined in porous materials.
We consider the mean field kinetic equations describing the relaxation dynamics of a lattice model of a fluid confined in a porous material. The dynamical theory embodied in these equations can be viewed as a mean field approximation to a Kawasaki dynamics Monte Carlo simulation of the system, as a theory of diffusion, or as a dynamical density functional theory. The solutions of the kinetic eq...
